YET ANOTHER EARTHQUAKE SHAKES EAST TENNESSEE THIS MORNING AT 5AM
Another earthquake has been recorded in East Tennessee this morning. A 2.6 magnitude quake shook Loudon County at around 5am. This is the just the latest in a series of quakes to shake East Tennessee in the last several months. Experts say this is not unusual for the area as there is a fault line that runs through East Tennessee. However, not in recent history has this many small quakes been recorded with such frequency. It is important to remember the earth is always moving below us and sometimes causes the upper layers of the earth to shift around as well.
