CPD: YARD SALE VENDOR STABBED IN EARLY MORNING HOURS THURSDAY

Crossville Police Chief Mark Rosser tells CNF News that a 127 Yard Sale vendor was stabbed early this (Thursday) morning.  The vendor was camping out and keeping an eye on yard sale merchandise on 127 North near Vegas Steak House when he noticed someone around a nearby truck about 1am Thursday morning.  The vendor opened the door of the truck and a man  jumped out of the truck, stabbed the vendor in the upper chest then ran off. The victim was knocked to the ground from the attack but was able to summon help.   The vendor was treated for non-life threatening injuries according to Chief Rosser.  The suspect was described as a tall, slim black male with braided hair wearing a light blue shirt and dark pants.  The investigation is ongoing.
