Many accidents have been reported in the past hour due to icy road conditions.  Wrecks have been reported on I-40 at 322 mile marker where a tractor-trailer jack-knifed and has the eastbound lane completely blocked.  Multiple accidents are reported on Highway 127 South especially on the long hill up to Homestead Market, Lanatan Road, Fairfield Glade, tractor-trailer rig half in the ditch half in the road on Highway 68 at Cox Valley road.  In all cases, traffic is backed up.  Authorities are advising people to not drive if you don’t have to.  Roads in the county are becoming extremely slick. All police, deputies and THP are covered up with accident reports.
