WOMAN TRAPPED IN CAR OVER EMBANKMENT FOR TWO DAYS

Crossville News First has obtained new information on the woman who was found trapped in her car over an embankment Monday.  The woman, 65 year old Marcia Davey, had been reported missing after going shopping Saturday.  Apparently one of her plans was to go to Pikeville.  The Cumberland County Sheriff’s office had taken the missing persons report and was actively searching for the woman.  Investigative assistant Shelly Brown obtained information on Ms Davey’s last known location from an on board GPS transmitter on her car.  Sergeant Kevin Davis with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department traveled Highway 127 South toward Pikevilleand discovered Ms Davey’s car off an embankment Monday morning about a half a mile beyond the Bledsoe County line. Rescue teams were called in to recover Ms Davey from her car.  She was airlifted to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga where she is listed in stable condition.
