WOMAN CALLS 911 WANTING TO KNOW WHY SHE WAS NOT INVISIBLE LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE
On 2-22-23 Crossville Police Department was dispatched to Rose Street in reference to a female calling 911 and asking why she was not invisible like everyone else, to which she called twice.
Upon arrival the officers came into contact with a female who stated that her sister called for her to ask a question. The officer asked her name and she said that it was Marlene Rios. She told us that it was not illegal to call with a question and that we were there illegally. She went on to say that they cannot get in trouble for asking questions and that we could not ask a question for a question. She said that her sister asked for her why is everyone invisible and she was not? During the interview Marlene pointed at one of the officers and said that he touched his groin area and that he can’t do that in front of her. The officer told her that she was wrong and that he did not even touch it and that he put his hand on his belt buckle area. ·
She went on to tell him that they were there illegally and they cannot come to the house over a phone call and that she was going to have the police arrest the officer that touched himself and she was going to file a complaint. The officer told her that they are the police and she told them that she was going to get another officer over here to arrest him. The officers tried several times to explain that she cannot use 911 for a question and it was for emergency calls only and that it is called a misuse of 911.
The officers were able to get the person that was on the lease with the Crossville Housing Authority and she told them that Marlene was crazy and she could not get her to leave the house. While an officer tried to talk with the woman on the lease, Marlene would step in between them and they had to physically move her. Marlene told them that they couldn’t talk to the girl on the lease because she was her girlfriend and she did not have to talk to them.
Marlene stepped out into the yard and started to become belligerent and started to get louder and began cussing. Marlene turned to some young elementary age children that were playing and riding their bikes about four to five houses down and hollered out that the f**king cop was touching his groin area. The officers told her to stop and to go back inside and she continued to holler obscenities while there were kids and other people present and outside of their homes watching the incident. The officer told her that was enough and handcuffed her and she turned toward the officer she accused of touching himself and spit on him. The officers then took her to the patrol car and put her into the back seat. They then checked on the officer that had been spat upon and there was visible spit residue on his uniform around his neck and face area on the left side.
The officers were also informed that she had been banned from that resident and they confirmed she was banned on 11/16/2022 and she was also arrested for Criminal Trespass on 11/17/22. The officers transported her to the Justice Center Intake for booking and no further incidents occurred. After arriving at Intake The officer did write and swore out warrants on Marlene for Disorderly Conduct, Assault on a First Responder, and Criminal Trespass and served the warrants and explained them to her.
