One wouldn’t think so but a back scratcher can make marks on you back.  Crossville Police were called to an apartment on Village Lane just off Genesis Road where a guy, Robert Sullivan, told them he had been hit in the back by some kind of stick by his girl friend Tahonta Bass.  Bass told police that Sullivan had hit her in the mouth and bloodied her lips and that since he “drew first blood, I was going to draw blood from him”.  The woman said she went into the back room and got a back scratcher and proceeded to strike Sullivan’s back…several times.  They both were taken to jail and charged with simple assault.
