WARTBURG MAN PASSES NOTE TO BANK TELLER THAT SAYS “HELP ME”
Two men are behind bars accused of an aggravated kidnapping and robbery at Citizens First Bank in Morgan County. The incident happened last Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators said the suspects drove the victim, 54-year-old Ray Avril Daugherty, from a bank in Anderson County after they failed to get money from the bank, to a second bank in Wartburg. The victim was beat up severely and told to go into the bank in Wartburg to get money. Daugherty walked inside with a bloody nose and reportedly slipped one of the employees a slip of paper that said ‘HELP.
