WALMART SHOPLIFTER CAPTURED BY CROSSVILLE PD K-9 UNIT

ARLOWhen 38-year-old Amanda Gray walked out of Walmart with shoplifted items earlier this week, she never dreamed that in short order she would be captured by a dog.   According to reports, Gray was spotted leaving the Crossville Walmart with stuff she had not paid for.  There was an altercation with some employees, then Gray took off toward the woods.  When Crossville Police arrived on the scene they warned Gray if she did not come out of the thicket and surrender, they were going to send in the K-9 Unit.  After a second warning the suspect still refused to come out.  The very specially trained K-9 Arlo was deployed by Officer Camden Davis and promptly tracked and nabbed the shoplifter.  Gray tried kicking the dog off at which point  K-9 Arlo got a better hold with his bite.  Gray was unharmed by the  incident and charged with theft and evading arrest.
