Each Tuesday and Thursday in September, Downtown Crossville Inc. welcomes a fourth-grade class to town from a different school. The walking tours are led by volunteers who tour the downtown area and teach the students about the landmarks of downtown Crossville. Jerry Brownstead of the American Legion explains the various veterans memorials in the Cumberland County War Memorial Park.

Stops on the tour include the gazebo on the lawn of the Cumberland County Courthouse, the Palace Theatre, War Memorial Park, Plateau Properties, the Crossville Depot and various businesses.
