UPDATE ON LOCAL BUSINESSMAN RUSSELL SMITH AFTER ATV ACCIDENT

Local businessman Russell Smith and his wife Carol were involved in a side-by-side ATV accident last Saturday in a remote area of Cumberland County. Carol suffered broken bones and was treated at CMC. Russell was airlifted to Erlanger in Chattanooga in critical condition. His son Nathan says his father is doing much better.

“Dad is doing much better today. He is still in a lot of pain, as basically every bone in his torso is broken, but he is off of all machines, he is talking, has all his wits about him, and has even eaten breakfast this morning.

He is still at Erlanger hospital and I cannot say enough about these wonderful people.

We were told that this afternoon he will most likely be stepping down out of the ICU and into a regular room.

The only reason he is still with us is the hand of The Almighty and the prayers of his Warriors.

Keep praying for His healing hand to touch Dad’s body.

Pray for our family.

Pray for the precious staff at Erlanger.
