UPDATE: HEAD-ON CRASH ON HWY 70 NORTH SATURDAY INVOVLING SIX PEOPLE

The report is in on the head-on crash last Saturday just outside Crossville on Highway 70 North.  According to the THP a pick up driven by Landon Thompson was traveling south when he began to turn left into the Crossville Raceway.  Thompson said just as he was turning into the drive he noticed a car driving north on 70 coming toward him at a high rate of speed and that’s when Thompson tried to get back in his own lane.  The car traveling north was driven by Pedro Gomez.  He told officers he was trying to veer left to avoid hitting Thompsons’ truck as it was turning into Raceway. Trouble was, Thompson was trying to veer to the right and get back in his own lane when the two-vehicle crashed head-on.   There were four people in the Gomez car two suffered injuries and had to be taken to the hospital. A passenger in the Thompson truck was also injured.  Pedro Gomez was cited for having no driver’s license.
