UPDATE: DETAILS ON PERDUE FARMS PLANT FIRE IN MONTEREY

Firefighters have extinguished a fire at the Perdue plant in Monterey.

No injuries were sustained from the outbreak. The building will be watched overnight.

The blaze was extinguished with the help of firefighters from Putnam, Cumberland and Overton Counties.  Almost seventy fire department personnel were on the scent to battle the blaze consisting of more than 22 fire units reporting.

Reports are that the D-Side Wing recieved extensive damage. It’s believed a vent fan malfunctioned causing the fire.
