On December 15, 2023  city units were dispatched to Thurman Ave for a theft. Upon arrival City Officers made contact with the tenant who stated that his roommates keys and ice cream were taken out of the house. 

He called his room mate who arrived shortly and stated that they had left the property together at 12:15 a.m. and returned at 3:15 a.m. The tenant stated he entered the house observed the keys to be removed from the counter and had also observed a tub of ice cream to be removed from the freezer as well. The officer asked him what kind of keys were missing, he stated two Tn. themed keys, one silver key, one brown key, and one Nissan 350z key.

The roommate valued all items at approximately $275.00 and stated that he believes a homeless person may have entered the house from the time they left to the time the reporting party returned. The tenant mentioned that a camera for Fortes is pointed toward the house and may have footage of the person that entered the house, at the time of this report the footage has not been collected and the flavor and the value of the ice cream remains unknown.
