Most people couldn’t believe their eyes this morning as they looked up and saw money falling from the sky in the middle of Main Street. What appeared to be thousands of dollars floating down to earth kept onlookers in amazement for almost 20 minutes.  Some folks were gathering up as much cash as they could while trying to remain inconspicuous.   We checked with the local airport who told us there was no report of any air craft in the area at the time.  A local accountant estimated over 30 million dollars had fallen to the street.  At one point traffic was at a stand still with drivers stunned at the cash falling.  Anyone who actually did gather some of the dough are asked to bring it to the police station before day’s end. It is believed that an airplane carrying large amounts of cash must have somehow lost its payload over town.  (Photo courtesy of Loo Flirpa)
