CNF received a message and a photo attachment Sunday night from a reader that was quite unusual.  Charlene Wilbanks said the following:  “We were driving on main street tonight and something caught my eye in the sky.  I took a picture of it and it looks like some kind of object in the sky. It’s in the upper left-hand part of the picture.  Do you know of anything going on that would have this thing up there.  Was there any kind of weather tests or something.  It was weird looking and quickly moved out.  Any info would be appreciated”.

Well, we checked and couldn’t find any official testing going on the area.  We agree that the object looks strange but we think it may be a reflection from inside her car . She took the photo through the windshield and there could have been something in the car that was reflecting on the windshield.   Also, there are starbursts from the street lights in the image so it could be an optic phenomenon from the street lights on the windshield.   If anyone else happened to see a strange object in the sky over Crossville Sunday evening let us know.  Notwithstanding a lighting or reflection anomaly, we have no idea what it is. We have brightened the photo somewhat and cropped to the object so you can see it a bit better.
