TWO WOMEN FILE FALSE REPORT ABOUT BEING RAPED AND STABBED
Knoxville police arrested two women for filing a false police report about a rape and stabbing.
Late Tuesday night, officers responded to a rape and stabbing call at a northeast Knoxville business in the 2300 block of E. Glenwood Avenue. When they arrived, officers found 21-year-old Ava Pilkay and 25-year-old Rachel Harris who were both suffering from what appeared to be a cut from a knife or glass.
One of the women told the officers that two men forced her into the back of the business and raped her. The second woman said she heard a woman screaming for help and tried to interfere. The women said the men then attacked both them, cutting them with some type of object.
Crews took the woman who claimed she was raped to Tennova hospital for treatment. After further questioning, both women admitted they lied to police and conspired together to make a false report. The women said they even cut themselves with a piece of glass to convince police, according to a Knoxville Police Department release.
Police said they don’t know why Harris and Pilkay lied to officers.
