TWO STUDENTS SHOT, ONE FATALLY AT NASHVILLE SCHOOL – SHOOTER DEAD
ANTIOCH, Tenn. (WZTV) — Two students were shot at Antioch High School Wednesday, Metro Police confirm.
Police add the gunman shot himself. The shooting occurred in the cafeteria at the high school. The shooter, a 17 year male, shot two female students. One of the female students died. The shooter then turned the gun on himself and is also deceased.
Metro Police say there is no ongoing threat at this time, but Metro Nashville Public Schools confirms the high school is on lockdown and an investigation is underway.
Authorities report a reunification site for parents is at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital, located at 3754 Murfreesboro Pike. Buses will be transporting students there.
