TWO PIKEVILLE SCHOOL AIDES CHARGED WITH CHILD ABUSE IN SPECIAL NEEDS CLASSROOM
The Bledsoe County Sheriff’s Office has charged two Pikeville Elementary School aides in a special needs classroom with child abuse.
That’s according to Bledsoe County Sheriff Jimmy Morris.
Accused of the alleged abuse are 25-year-old Chloe Frizzell and 63-year-old Shelia Schmidt, both of Pikeville.
Deputies arrested both women on Wednesday; they were later released on a $7,500 signature bond, according to the Sheriff.
An investigation into the alleged incident is ongoing by law enforcement, the Department of Children Services, and the District Attorney’s office, said Howard Upchurch, Bledsoe County School System attorney.
