The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says one person is dead and two others are injured after a shooting in Athens. It happened on Lime street around 5:00 Saturday evening.

WRCB in Chattanooga is reporting the TBI alongside the Athens Police Department and investigators from the Attorney General’s office are looking into the events that led up to the shooting to try and figure out who is responsible.

The TBI is not identifying the people involved. Two of the victims are currently undergoing medical treatment for their injuries.
