TRAGICALLY, SEVEN YEAR OLD CROSSVILLE GIRL DIES IN HOUSE FIRE THIS MORNING

Tragedy struck this morning as a seven-year-old Crossville girl perished in a house fire on Highway 70 East.  Emergency personnel were called to the residence located about four miles from Crossville on 70E in the Hillbilly Hollow community for a house fire.  The little girl, whose name has not been released, was at home with her father.  The girl’s father escaped the fire.  Sheriff Casey Cox told Crossville News First two deputies were sent to the hospital for smoke inhalation and a fireman was injured after a basement door collapsed.  Sheriff Cox told CNF the mother was not at home at the time of the blaze but arrived shortly after authorities arrived on the scene.  CNF will have more information as it is available.
