Highway 127 North in Bledsoe County was the scene of a massive accident that injured three people including an infant. THP reports that 30-year-old Adam J. Ward was driving north on HWY 127 when he attempted to pass a car in front. That car was driven by 40-year-old William Smith Jr..  Smith was trying to turn left onto Howard Beavert road just as Ward was passing him.

Ward crashed into the Smith car and then rammed a guard rail.  Ward, along with two passengers, 25-year-old Alisha Murphy and an infant was seriously injured and an airmedic helicopter was called to the scene. THP report stated the infant was in a car seat.   Smith was not injured. Charges are pending against Ward.  Conditions of the injured was not included in the THP report.
