WARTBURG – Three people are dead and two others are being treated for apparent carbon monoxide poisoning at a home in Morgan County.

Authorities responded to a home on Susack Lane about 9 p.m. Saturday. They found a 43-year-old, 17-year-old and 8-year-old dead inside. Paramedics took two others to UT Medical Center for treatment, Morgan County Sheriff’s Office chief deputy Steve Cochran said.

The incident appears to be an accident caused by generator fumes inside the home, Cochran said.

Deputies have not yet released the victims’ names.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident.
