THP BEEFING UP PATROLS FOR MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

The upcoming Memorial Day Holiday Weekend will once again see the Tennessee Highway Patrol increasing patrols and utilizing the “No Refusal” law.  The holiday period will run from now until Monday at midnight. The 96-hour holiday period will include “No Refusal” enforcement, which allows officers to get search warrants for blood samples in cases involving suspected impaired drivers. The THP will also be conducting a Sobriety Roadside Safety Checkpoint Saturday, May 23’rd, on Highway 70 at Browntown Road in Cumberland County. The approximate time will be 10 p.m. to 11 p.m.
