THIS IS HOW PUSHING A DOG IN A STROLLER DOWN SPARTA HWY ENDED BADLY FOR CROSSVILLE WOMAN

On May 29th, 2024 at approximately 2:45 p.m., city units were dispatched to the area of the Memorial Baptist Church for a male and female subject pushing a stroller with a dog in it. The caller was with the church and stated that the subjects were there acting irate and bothering them and that they needed to be asked to leave.

The officer upon arrival observed two subjects pushing a stroller with a dog in it down the side of the road on Sparta Highway just after the church.  When the officer was able to make contact with them he identified one of  them to be Tracy Mills DOB: 07-07-1978. While speaking with them he observed the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Ms. Mills breath and person. The officer also observed Ms. Mills to have red watery eyes and slurred speech. Ms. Mills also admitted that she had two beers at approximately 9 a.m. A check through dispatch revealed that Ms. Mills had modified bond conditions on March 14, 2024 that prohibited her to possess or consume alcohol.

Due to Ms. Mills level of intoxication, her being a danger to herself and others, and her being prohibited from possessing or consuming alcohol the officer placed her in custody and transported her to the Cumberland County Justice Center where she was booked and charged with Public Intoxication and Violation of Bond Conditions.
