The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office received a report about a credit card scam from a customer using the ATM at a Y-12 Federal Credit Union in LaFollete.

In a post to its Facebook page, CCSO said a scamming card and chip reader fell in a man’s hand, as he was removing his own credit card from the ATM card reader during his transaction.

Deputies said the man is at the sheriff’s office currently making a report and has the device.

CCSO is working with the LaFollette Police Department investigate the scam
