A Remington .22 rifle was stolen from a residence on Dallas Smith road. Thieves kicked in the front door to gain entry.  And an air conditioner and water heater was stolen from a home on Southwood Drive.  In addition to the water heater being taken, substantial damage was done to the house plumbing to get the water heater out.

In Lake Tansi, someone stole a 14 foot V-Hull boat,  A Genesis Road man reports the theft of his Remington 308 Model 742. The firearm is wood grain with a camo sling and is valued at $700.  500 feet of copper wire from a construction site on Claysville Lane.   Police are covered up with theft reports lately and advise residents to always make certain your doors are lock and some lights are left on, especially outdoor lighting,  when you leave home and maybe even leave the TV on with the sound up to help discourage burglars.  A dark, quiet home with no vehicle in the drive way is a prime target for thieves.
