TENNESSEE’S LARGEST OUTDOOR MUSIC FESTIVAL STARTS NOW

Bonnaroo-AerialWhile the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival doesn’t officially kickoff until Thursday, fans can arrive to the site as early as tonight.

Gates officially open at 8 p.m. in an attempt to help with traffic flow.

The four-day music festival, held on a 700 acre farm in Manchester, runs through Thursday and includes performances by Robert Plant and the Sensational Space Shifters, Florence and the Machine, Mumford and Sons and Kendrick Lamar, among others.

Officials estimate around 80,000 fans will attend the annual music festival this weekend. For ticket information, visit bonnaroo.com/tickets.

The Tennessee Department of Transportation, the Tennessee Highway Patrol and yes, Cumberland and Putnam County law enforcement will be on extra patrol for Bonnaroo travelers through the area. Typically, several dozen Bonnarro travelers are stopped in surrounding counties each year going to and fro and given citation for various offenses from dui to no drivers license.
