A Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper was killed after being hit by an 18-wheeler in Madison County (Jackson TN).

In a released statement, The Department of Safety and Homeland Security said Trooper Mathew Gatti “was killed in a car crash while responding to a call.”

The incident happened at Mile Marker 74.

The crash is under investigation.
