TENNESSEE PROFESSOR MISSING AFTER BEING HIT BY OCEAN WAVE

A Middle Tennessee college professor is missing after being hit by an ocean wave.

A professor from Columbia State Community College is missing after being hit by a wave on Thursday while on the coast of Brazil, according to the Tennessee Board of Regents. The victim has not been immediately identified, as search and rescue operations continue.

The professor and three students were walking along an oceanside road and stopped to take their photographs, TBR reported.

Two Tennessee students, from Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville, also hit by the wave, were not seriously injured, according to TBR. A third student with the group did not sustain any injuries.
