TENNESSEE FIRST TO CREATE ANIMAL ABUSERS REGISTRY WEBSITE

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is working on a new website that will work like a sex offender registry for animal abusers.

Anyone who is convicted of cruelty to animals will be posted on the website for two years.

Abusers who have been convicted twice will be on the site for five years.

The TBI hopes to have the website ready by January.

The Tennessee House of Representatives passed the bill to create this website back in April.

Tennessee is the first state in the country to create this kind of website. (WKRN)
