TBI INVESTIGATING HUMAN REMAINS DISCOVERED POSSIBLY HOLLY BOBO

o-HOLLY-BOBO-PURSE-facebookThe Tennessee Bureau of Investigation is examining possible human remains found this weekend in Decatur County, the same county where missing nursing student Holly Bobo disappeared in 2011.

TBI spokesman Josh Devine confirmed that remains were discovered in Dectaur County. He did not specify where in the county they were found.

No links have been confirmed between the discovery of the remains and the Bobo case.

Newly elected District Attorney Matt Stowe said DNA testing will be performed, and that it may be days before updates become available.

“We’re going to provide sad closure to a family who is missing someone,” he said today.

Bobo, 20, was first reported missing on April 13, 2011, when she disappeared from her family’s home in Parsons.

Two men, Zach Adams and Jason Autry, were accused of Bobo’s kidnapping and slaying in March and April. Investigators said in April that Bobo’s body had not been found yet.
