TBI ADDS FORMER CAMPBELL CO TEACHER TO MOST WANTED LIST

Lonnie VannThe Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has added a former Campbell County teacher to its most wanted list Friday.

TBI says 44-year-old Lonnie Vann, of Jacksboro is wanted following an alleged armed robbery that took place on Deerfield Lane in Lafollette on Friday.

Vann is described as a white male with brown hair and brown eyes. He stands 5-foot-9 inches and weighs 275 pounds. TBI says he was last seen driving a white Chevy Captiva with a Maryland registration 2BC6411.

Police say Vann is believed to be in possession of several firearms and should be considered extremely dangerous.

Vann, a former LaFollette Middle School teacher was indicted on several charges in June following a TBI case that started in November 2013.

Investigators say Vann had allegedly taken a 13-year-old student off school property to a church. They say he hugged her and tried to kiss her, both without consent.

Vann later turned himself in and was charged with Solicitation of a Minor, Tampering with Evidence, and Assault.

Vann was last believed to be out of jail on bond.
