SMALL PLANE CRASHES IN CROSSVILLE
CROSSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A small plane crash was reported in Crossville.
The crash happened on Saturday around 8 a.m. Central at the Crossville Memorial Airport.
According to the Crossville Fire Chief, a Citation Learjet with five people on board was trying to make a landing.
During the landing, the chief said the pilots reported there was a mechanical issue with the braking system, causing the aircraft to swerve and leave the runway.
The fire chief said the aircraft was occupied by three pilots and two passengers.
No injuries were reported as a result of the crash. The chief did say there was structural damage to the aircraft.
Officials also notified the FAA and MTSB.
The runway at Crossville Memorial Airport will also be closed until around 12 p.m.
