A resident in Fairfield Glade didn’t take lightly to would-be burglars trying to break into their home.  Two men apparently were going to break into a home on Browns Creek Dr  but were scared off when they discovered there were people at home.  The men ran back to their car and sped away.  That’s when things got interesting.  The homeowner decided to follow the intruders, maybe try to get a license number, when suddenly the would-be burglars car turned around and shots were fired at the homeowners car.  Two rounds actually hit the car before the assailants took off.  Nobody was hurt, deputies have a description of the car and the investigation is ongoing.
