SHOPLIFTER PULLS KNIFE ON WALMART WORKERS, POLICE CHASE ENSUES, CAPTURED


As the song says “you might outrun my old Chevrolet but you can’t outrun my own two-way”.  According to reports, a man was walking around the Crossville Walmart Saturday cutting off security devices from merchandise with a knife. When the man was confronted by store security, he pulled the knife on them and said “come on boys”.  At that point the suspect ran from the store, jumped into a car and sped away.  Police chased the suspect, later identified as Jad Mubarak, to I-40 where he raced toward Knoxville.  The police chase was terminated for safety reasons and an all points bulletin put out on police radio’s.  Mubarak was captured in Knoxville and returned to Crossville where he faces charges for shoplifting, trespassing, aggravated assault, felony evading arrest, and reckless endangerment.
