SHOPLIFTER LOADS UP AT WALMART, THEN RIDES OFF ON BIKE FROM WALMART
A shoplifter seemed to have a plan at the Crossville Walmart Monday. A man came into the store, walked over to the jewelry counter and grabbed a watch.
Then he grabbed a back pack and began stuffing merchandise into the backpack. Once he got all he wanted, he went to the bicycle department and rolled it to the fire exit. When the time was right, he opened the exit door and proceeded to ride the bike with his stash headed toward Interstate Drive.
The heist occured around 3:45. About 7:45 that night, another officer spotted a man riding a bike down I-40 east bound at the 317 mile marker. It was indeed the shoplifter, 49 year old James Beach of Nashville. He was arrested, taken to jail. All the stolen merchandise was still in the backpack and returned to Walmart.
