PART-TIME TEACHER ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES
Crossville, TN – On December 7, 2023, a part-time teacher was arrested on drug charges at a
local school. At approximately 8:30 A.M., a K-9 dog and handler with Interquest Canines, a
service that the Cumberland County BOE has utilized for several years to aid in detecting not
only drugs but also guns, alerted on a car in the parking lot of the school. It was determined
that the vehicle belonged to a part-time teacher.
Upon searching the vehicle, SRO Josh
Parrigin and SRO Cpl. Jeff Fitzgerald located illegal drugs which resulted in the arrest of
31-year-old, Angela Elizabeth Anderson, Main Street, Cookeville, Tennessee. She is currently
suspended without pay and is being charged with Simple possession of Schedule VI
(Marijuana), Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Manufacture, Delivery, or Sell of a
Controlled Substance Schedule II (Cocaine).
Ms. Anderson was arrested and transported to the
Cumberland County Jail where she is being held on a $7,000.00 bond pending a General
Sessions Court date of January 8, 2024.
