SEVEN STONE MEMORIAL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS CITED WITH DRUG CHARGES

CNF learned today of a drug raid at Stone Memorial High School recently.  We were told that several students were taken from class for suspicion of drug related activities.  CNF asked the Crossville Police Department if there was any information concerning the incident.  We have received the following press release from CPD:

On Monday October 26, 2015, 7 juveniles were cited and released to legal guardians, from Stone High School, in Cumberland County, in relation to drug activities. 

At around 2pm on Friday afternoon October 23, 2015, School Resource Officer, LT. Anthony Akins, received an anonymous tip which led to the discovery of seven students who were found to be in possession of, had been in possession of or were under the influence of illegal narcotics. There were small amounts of narcotics, some paraphernalia and currency seized following the investigation.The juveniles are pending a Cumberland County Juvenile Court date in relation to the charges.
