The Cumberland County Board of Education has voted to extend, by an hour, school days for the first 13 days past Spring break to offset the overages on snow days brought on by the February Ice Storm.  The school system had requested a waiver and was granted one but it only allowed three days to be removed from the number of days missed leaving the system with  the problem of making up the time in order for the school year to end on time.
