‘SAVING RYLAN’ STOLEN PICK-UP TRUCK FOUND

bitmapThe pick up truck stolen yesterday which was to be used to raise funds for a very sick little boy has been found.  The 1985 GMC SIERRA CLASSIC 2 DOOR  4X4,  stolen from Performance Auto Detail on Main Street was found abandoned in a field in the Mayland community in western Cumberland County this morning.  The truck was not damaged but was missing the battery.  The truck was the grand prize in a raffle being conducted to help raise money for  4 year old Rylan Hyder who was diagnosed in November with a rare genetic terminal disease called Sanfilippo Syndrome type A. This is an inherited metabolic disease caused by an absence or malfunctioning of certain enzymes needed to break down a molecule called heparan sulfate. The pick up will still be awarded in April in the “Saving Rylan” raffle.  No suspects have been named in the theft.
