ROOMATES BEAT EACH OTHER TO A PULP, “NO OFFICERS, NOTHING WRONG HERE”

On November 22, 2024 at approximately 2303, I, Officer Ogle, responded to 151 Myrtle Acres Lane in reference to a fight. I made contact with Angel Barrientes, who was standing in the yard. Mr. Barrientes was covered in blood with visible marks on his face. Officer Henson knocked on the door of the residence and made contact with Mr. Juan Cruz. Mr. Cruz had a swollen black eye. There was a large amount of blood on scene, therefor officers performed a safety check in the residence to verify there were no other injured parties. A large amount of blood was found throughout Mr. Cruz and Mr. Barrientes’ room.

There was a language barrier however Officers used translators to speak with the subjects. Both subjects stated many times to officers that there were no problems and that we should leave. We were able to figure out that both males live within the residence and were roommates. A fight had occurred between the two of them, however they both insisted it was friends being friends. Due to a lack of evidence to establish who the primary aggressor was, I arrested both for domestic assault. I also arrested both due to believing that the violence would continue if something was not done while officers were on scene. While filling out the domestic paper work, Mr. Barrientes refused to fill out the domestic paper work.
