In Roane County it just wasn’t a good day at all for John Wesley Shingleton.  31 year old Shingleton, who is from Chattanooga, showed up at the Cross-eyed Cricket Campground and, allegedly, began assaulting a woman.  She fought back and eventually got out her personal taser and zapped the man in the crotch with 50,000 volts.  That took him to his knees quickly and she got away.  Officers arrived and apparently Shingleton was combative from the crotch-zapping and had to be pepper sprayed by deputies.   Witnesses say the suspect was last seen banging his head against the partition screen inside the cruiser.  Shingleton was charged with aggravated assault and taken to jail.
