A resurfacing project will begin on Interstate 40 in Cumberland County Monday.

Following a weekend halt in construction work for the Easter holiday, TDOT crews are scheduled to begin resurfacing work between mile markers 317  and 322. The project will also include some repair work on the Obed Bridge.

During this time the speed  limit will be lowered from 70 to 60 mph and at least one lane of travel may be closed at certain times during the project.
