REVIEW: OUR TAKE ON THE ‘REDNECK RUMBLE’ AT BUBBA T’S

From time to time CNF will do a spot review of a restaurant and its offerings in the area.  We hadn’t planned on doing a review lately – but we have been hearing a lot about something called a “Redneck Rumble” that is served up at Bubba T’s on North Main.

Now – most already know Bubba T’s has some very good menu items – especially the mouth-watering ribs.   But we ventured out to Bubba T’s and asked to try the so-called Redneck Rumble.  John told us that it was his own concoction consisting of bacon, fried green tomatoes and jalapeno pimento cheese on Texas toast.   Well we hadn’t heard of anything quite like that so we gave it taste.  Our first take was that this was a very different tasting sandwich…but different in a very good way. The combination of bacon and fried green tomatoes surprisingly works very well – and then there is the slight kick of the jalapeno cheese to round out the overall taste bud experience.  We now understand what all the fuss is about. Of course, anything with bacon has to be good right?  We give the “Redneck Rumble” five stars for an ‘exciting’ tasting sandwich that’s different from the ordinary.  How did John come up with the name?  We didn’t ask. Some things are best left alone.  Give it a try – you’ll like it.
