REPUBLICANS BLOW AWAY DEMOCRATS IN CUMBERLAND CO EARLY VOTING NUMBERS

Early voting for the March 1st Presidential Primary in Tennessee ended Tuesday. Cumberland County early voting totals:  Republican votes: 5019 –  Democrats votes: 987  for a total of 6006.  Totals include absentee and mail-in votes with some ballots still coming in. There is only one local county primary race and it’s for County Property Assessor between  incumbent David Simcox and Tommy Bean, both Republicans. City councilman Pete Souza is running as an independent in the Assessor’s race and will face the Republican nominee in August. The “Super Tuesday” election is March 1st.  Cumberland County has been predominantly Republican for several years
