REPORT: THOUSANDS OF TN DRIVERS PASS SCHOOL BUSES ILLEGALLY IN ONE DAY

After three children were killed walking to their bus in Indiana earlier this week, News 2 did some digging and found this is an alarming issue in Tennessee too.

According to the state Director of Student Transportation, Tennessee took part in a national survey back in April with more than 2700 bus drivers.

In one day, those bus drivers reported more than 1100 other drivers passing them illegally, with 484 happening in the morning and more than 609 happening in the evening.

The survey shows more than 800 drivers illegally passed the buses from the font and over 1,000 passed on the bus’ left side.

Back in September, a little boy was hit in Dickson County while getting off the bus. He was injured but survived.
