The family of a woman who was hit this morning in the Bowman Loop area is asking for prayers.  The woman, whose identity has not been released, was pulling from an intersection onto Highway 127 North around 8am when her car was struck by a gold SUV.  The woman was rushed to Fort Sanders Medical Center for treatment of her injuries including a concussion.  She is expected to recover.  The SUV was being driven by a man in his 30’s with a female passenger in her 20’s. Neither was seriously injured.  According to reports, the SUV driver was trying to read a text message and  did not see the woman pulling out of the intersection.
