The Putnam County Sheriff’s Department is selling over 250 firearms to the public in an online auction.

The department is working with an auction company to sell the weapons, including rifles, shotguns, pistols and revolvers.

The weapons will be sold according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) regulations.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the county and sheriff’s department.

The auction began Tuesday and will run through March 1.
