PUT DOWN THAT RAZOR – IT’S NO-SHAVE NOVEMBER….WHY?

April2910_beard1_b191601425_slideLT9lSIf you’ve been looking for an excuse to forgo the everyday ritual of shaving your face or well, any thing else for that matter – here it is.  It’s No-Shave November.  And what exactly is that? Here is some information from the No-Shave November web site

“No-Shave November is a month-long journey during which participants forgo shaving and grooming in order to evoke conversation and raise cancer awareness. Learn more about how you can get involved and start getting hairy!  The goal of No-Shave November is to grow awareness by embracing our hair, which many cancer patients lose, and letting it grow wild and free. Donate the money you typically spend on shaving and grooming to educate about cancer prevention, save lives, and aid those fighting the battle.  Participate by growing a beard, cultivating a mustache, letting those legs go natural, and skipping that waxing appointment. Put down your razor and set up your own personal No-Shave November fundraising page. If you’re not ready to get hairy, sit back and support someone who is”

Being one who couldn’t grow an acceptable beard if my life depended on it, I plan to take advantage of the cause and go one month without shaving and since one can count each hair on my face (I only have to shave every other day as it is…just missed out on the beard gene I guess) it will not be a pretty sight – but it’s for a good cause.   If you want to donate to the cause CLICK HERE.
