In observance of Police Memorial Week, there will be a Memorial Service for fallen officers today in Crossville at the Gazebo on the Courthouse Lawn at 12 noon.  At this time (9am) the service will still take place at the Gazebo as the weather is expected to improve as the day goes on.    In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week.
